Home Run 5K (2013) for ALS of Nevada - Event & Finish Line (with Aleta finishing!) - Las Vegas, NV

This was the third annual Home Run 5K to benefit ALS of Nevada. The event is named Home Run to honor the most famous ALS patient - baseball player Lou Gehrig. In fact, ALS is often called Lou Gehrig's disease.

The money raised by the run (and accompanying Walk) each year helps provide much needed services to all Nevada ALS patients and their caregivers free of charge.

I managed to get my wife Aleta out to run another race with me! We're both a bit out of shape (as you can probably tell from the second half of this video =p) but we both placed 1st in our age groups. I'm getting back into it and bringing her with me!
